dorner's description. that is when the bullets started firing. carter evans found himself in the thick of it. two deputies were shot in the exchange. one of them died. dorner had been on run since last week, when he alledgedly shot and killed two people, including a police officer. he had promised revenge since being fired. >> what i'm thankful is we don't have to go through the trials, appeal is and have to set through 25 years of appeals on death row. >>reporter: now we heard reporter carter evans getting pinned down, in effect, by that gun fire as it took place this afternoon between dorner and deputies. we're going to take a moment to look at more of that of exactly
